The City University (CITY)
The Economics Department of The City University of London is located in the School of Social Sciences and its research mission is to conduct outstanding research in economics. The department’s research programme has an emphasis on rigorous economic and econometric modelling, but also a concern for practical applications in both private and public sectors. The group has an interdisciplinary expertise covering the areas of statistical mechanics, mathematical finance, financial econometrics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and financial competition and regulation.
Main tasks in the project:
City coordinates WP2 aimed at developing the financial ABM model. In particular CITY will extend current AB models to the banking Sector. Moreover the CITY staff will be responsible for the harmonization of the different extensions carried out by other consortium members. CITY will also play a significant role in the construction of the database containing fine grained microeconomic data about EU households, firms and financial institutions.
