Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREI)
The Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREI) is a research institute sponsored by the Generalitat de Catalunya and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Our research activities focus on international economics and macroeconomics, understood in a broad sense (i.e. encompassing economic growth, business cycles, monetary economics, macroeconometrics, international trade and finance, economic geography, etc.). Given our origin, location and spirit, we seek to emphasize the European dimensions of those fields of study.
Main tasks in the project:
CREI will actively collaborate in the building and managing of a macro and micro economic database. In particular its staff will be involved in the assessment of specific data needs in order to develop the two ABM models and the game as well as in the collection of already existing data sets. Moreover, CREI will help developing the agent based model of the macro economy as a complex adaptive system in which aggregate regularities emerge from the interaction of a multitude of heterogeneous agents.
